BOSS Energy has been retained by a leading Clean Technology company seeking to hire seeking to hire a Pilot Engineer with an Electrical background. The client is a developer of CO2 removal technology intended to combat climate change.
The company’s platform utilizes electrochemistry to capture carbon dioxide, enabling businesses access to large-scale and affordable removal of excess CO2 from the environment while promoting responsible ecological practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing sealing systems, including material selection and stress distribution analysis.
- Developing, constructing, and operating electrolyzer stack prototypes.
- Scaling up single-cell architectures for production.
- Designing electrolyzer stack architectures.
- Managing fluid and power delivery systems.
- Creating and iterating CAD files.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in engineering.
- Practical experience in stack design and construction.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and highly organized, capable of managing complex situations and making strategic decisions.
Other Desirable Experience:
- Expertise in modelling heat and mass transport phenomena (2D).
- Proficiency in COMSOL or other multiphysics modelling software.
- Experience with two-phase fluid management subsystems, including degassing, drying, compression, and purification.
- Familiarity with design codes and equipment certification standards.
