Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the formulation and refinement of new electrolyte systems designed specifically for lithium-mediated nitrogen reduction.
- Enhance process performance, chemical stability, and environmental footprint of electrolytes.
- Evaluate systems across various stages—from lab testing to prototype units and external pilot setups—to ensure they scale effectively.
- Perform detailed chemical and physical analysis of components before and after operation.
- Work in close coordination with diverse internal teams and external stakeholders to accelerate innovation cycles.
- Tackle both scientific and operational challenges with a creative, solutions-oriented approach.
- Manage multiple research and development tracks focused on electrolyte performance and integration.
- Document findings clearly and present progress in a compelling and structured manner.
- Serve as a technical point of contact in external partnerships, helping ensure delivery of key project goals.
- Maintain alignment with best practices in safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainability.
- Ensure accurate and organized technical documentation.
- Promote a culture of digital fluency and continuous learning within your area of expertise.

Qualifications:
- PhD in electrochemistry or a closely related field with expertise in at least two of the following areas: lithium-based systems, ammonia synthesis, flow cells, organic electrolytes, or liquid electrolyte chemistry.
- Candidates with an MSc and strong practical experience in similar areas will also be considered.
- Laboratory experience is essential, including glove box operation and chemical handling.
- Background in organic chemistry is an asset.
- Experience handling gases such as hydrogen or ammonia in a lab setting.
- Strong skills in interpreting and applying scientific literature.
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written). Other languages, such as Danish, are a bonus but not required.
- Confident in working with technical partners, suppliers, and research peers.
