Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and autonomous Global Commercial Director with a hunter mentality to lead sales efforts for Hydrogen tanks and potentially CNG & LNG as well as retrofit solutions transitioning vehicles from diesel to hydrogen in the European market.
This pure sales role is ideal for a proven leader with a track record of success in similar sectors, capable of contributing to both strategy and organizational development. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the division’s growth trajectory and achieve ambitious sales targets while fostering innovation and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership and Growth:
- Develop and execute aggressive sales strategies to expand the company’s footprint in the infrastructure and retrofit tank markets, fostering a robust client network and achieving a €200M revenue target by 2025.
- Ensure effective communication of internal stakeholders in the sales process that are integral to sales/commercial success (i/e design, manufacturing departments)
- Efficiently manage sales cycles (1-6 months), diversifying the customer portfolio and driving long-term client relationships.
Strategic Contribution:
- Shape the division’s strategy and organizational development by identifying key priorities, refining processes, and aligning efforts with the company’s vision.
- Drive cultural and operational shifts, helping to transition traditional automotive approaches to meet the demands of an evolving market.
Market Expansion and Customer Acquisition:
- Identify and capture opportunities in Hydrogen markets (and related CNG/LNG), with a focus on retrofit solutions transitioning diesel to hydrogen.
- Drive new business development with a hunter mindset, targeting high-potential clients and expanding market share.
Team and Process Management:
- Inspire, manage, and develop the sales team while driving operational excellence and accurate forecasting to foster a results-oriented culture.
- Align sales processes with the company’s long-term objectives, prioritizing growth, profitability, and cash flow management.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the hydrogen market, strong expertise in market development, customer acquisition, and navigating complex sales cycles.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a hunter drive to deliver results.
- Experience contributing to strategy, organizational development, and cultural change within larger organizations.
- Fluent in English (French is a bonus).
- Flexible background: could be a master’s graduate or an experienced contractor, with preference for permanent hires.
