Our client is seeking an experienced High Voltage Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning phase of a major offshore wind development. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile renewable energy project in France, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of experts in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute commissioning activities for high voltage (HV) offshore substations, including onshore interface points.
- Perform functional testing, system integration, and energization of HV equipment (GIS, transformers, protection systems, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with grid code requirements and project-specific commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate with OEMs, EPC contractors, and grid operators to ensure safe and timely commissioning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and handover phases.
- Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning documentation and reports.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in commissioning high voltage substations
- Strong background in offshore wind or large-scale renewable energy projects.
- In-depth knowledge of HV electrical systems, protection and control schemes, and grid compliance.
- Familiarity with relevant international standards (e.g., IEC, EN, IEEE).
- Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to France for the duration of the project.
Desirable:
- Experience working with TSO/DSO interfaces in France or Europe.
- Valid offshore certifications (e.g., GWO, HUET) are advantageous but not mandatory.
