Project Engineer – Hydrogen Refuelling Stations (HRS)
Job Overview:
The Asset Engineer is responsible for managing the operations of Hydrogen Refuelling Stations (HRS) across Europe, ensuring they meet safety, regulatory, and operational standards. You will contribute to company goal of developing 100 hydrogen stations by 2033, supporting sustainability efforts in the mobility sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day HRS operations, including hydrogen supply scheduling.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain permits in coordination with authorities.
- Implement safety, health, environment, and quality standards.
- Conduct incident root cause analysis and manage corrective actions.
- Coordinate maintenance through service providers, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Manage suppliers, monitor KPIs, and oversee critical spare parts inventory.
- Report on station performance and support new station handovers.
Context:
Hydrogen is essential for reducing CO2 emissions in sectors like heavy-duty transport. Clients target is 100 stations in Europe by 2033, with many projects supported by national and European subsidies.
Accountabilities:
- Drive continuous improvement in station performance.
- Ensure full regulatory compliance and smooth station operations.
- Support the commissioning and decommissioning of HRS.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Engineering degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s in a technical field.
- Experience: 5-7 years in industrial operations, with on-site maintenance experience as a plus.
- Languages: Fluent in Dutch and proficient in English. Knowledge of French and German is advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of rotating machinery.
- Expertise in HSE standards and process safety.
- Proven ability to manage suppliers, prioritize tasks, and work autonomously.
