We are looking for an energetic and seasoned Sales Manager to spearhead our commercial electrolyzer sales growth in North America. In this role, you will be the primary representative of our company in the region, embodying our leadership in both market and technology with professionalism, expertise, and integrity. This role reports to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing – Americas for the Electrolyzer Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with regular and potential customers within the assigned territory to develop opportunities and secure orders.
  • Build and manage a network of distributors and agents in specified markets.
  • Generate new leads proactively, demonstrating strong initiative and “hunter” instincts.
  • Actively pursue incoming leads to create opportunities and close sales.
  • Craft and deliver sales presentations that highlight the benefits and features of our products to prospective customers and channel partners.
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences to promote our products and services to potential customers and end users.
  • Formulate sales strategies for targeted verticals, including market channels.
  • Train channel partners to effectively prospect, qualify, and sell equipment.
  • Keep precise sales development records and provide timely reports on contact data, sales projections, and expenses.
  • Expect up to 50% travel.

Essential Qualifications:

  • College degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 10 years of sales experience or 5 years in a directly relevant role.
  • Proven success in technical sales for medium/large-sized capital equipment to industrial clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to discover and seize new business opportunities.
  • Strong track record of exceeding sales targets and developing territories/accounts.
  • Experienced in managing client relationships for all sales-related issues.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong technical background.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled at engaging with customers at various levels within their organization, using a blend of business and technical expertise.

Personal Attributes:

  • Proficient in using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CRM tools, and other standard business software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with SalesForce is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Familiarity with hydrogen applications or gas generators is beneficial.
