We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in electrical engineering, coupled with a robust background in project management, design, and implementation.

This role spans multiple sectors, including Infrastructure, Industrial, and Renewable industries, ensuring a diverse and engaging work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders globally.
  • Perform quality assurance and compliance checks.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports.
  • Elaborate and clarify detailed technical concepts to meet client specifications with suppliers.
  • Prepare quotation costs and request for proposal and quotation specifications based on quantity structures, external quotations, and regulations.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers for technical clarification of systems.
  • Monitor sub-suppliers and involved stakeholders (internal/external: e.g., workshop, production, assembly, purchasing, warehouse, shipping) to ensure compliance with schedules, technical, and qualitative specifications within order processing.
  • Define the project-related design process, including technical content, resource planning, schedule preparation, tracking, implementation of content/schedule adjustments, and approval of the design status (4-eyes principle).
  • Design and implement electrical systems.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Act as a product advisor and support field personnel.
  • Create framework data for subsequent cable routing (type, category, length limitation) including data entry and maintenance in the cable planning tool.
  • Determine and create material requirement requests (BANF) and ensure the sustainability of the purchasing process.
  • Create test specifications and delivery protocols for function delivery to customers/class.
  • Report on project deadlines, costs, open points, and remaining tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Approximately 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge in ship construction is a plus.
  • German language skills are preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio).
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Experience with electrical drawing and configuration management.
  • Ability to understand and interpret electrical circuits.
  • Problem-solving and innovative mindset.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
