Responsibilities:
The (Senior) Project Engineer – Energy Systems will be responsible for:
- Protection Concept Development: Designing and implementing protection concepts for battery storage systems in medium- and high-voltage applications.
- Medium-Voltage Switchgear Planning: Overseeing the planning and integration of medium-voltage switchgear to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Substation Construction & Commissioning: Supporting the setup and commissioning of substations to ensure seamless operations.
- Measurement & Troubleshooting: Conducting measurements and troubleshooting low-voltage and control voltage systems to maintain system integrity.
- Grid Operator Communication: Engaging with grid operators and providing technical support in negotiations for grid connection agreements.
- Construction Scheduling: Collaborating closely with project management to optimize construction timelines.
- Control Cabinet Planning & Documentation: Utilizing Eplan and AutoCAD to develop and document control cabinet layouts.
- Site & Cable Planning: Contributing to property planning, grounding, conduit planning, and cable design for low- and medium-voltage systems.
- Battery Storage System Commissioning: Executing commissioning, cabling, troubleshooting, and overseeing service providers on-site.
Qualifications & Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering (Dipl. Ing., B. Eng, M. Eng) or equivalent qualifications with relevant experience.
- Preferably, experience in battery storage or energy system planning.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Eplan.
- Hands-on experience in measurement and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 20%), both within Germany and internationally.
- A valid Class B driver’s license.
- Fluency in German and proficiency in English.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a proactive, responsible work ethic.
- A commitment to continuous learning and independent problem-solving.
