Position Overview: As a Senior Installation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and management of subsea construction and installation operations. You will work as part of a multi-discipline project team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering and Design: Plan and execute subsea construction and installation operations, including the design and engineering of relevant subsea structures.
- Project Management: Manage and follow up with subcontractors, specifying, ordering, and overseeing the delivery and manufacturing of SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) products.
- Site and Offshore Campaigns: Attend mobilizations at site and participate in offshore campaigns onboard construction vessels.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, providing leadership and direction to ensure efficient planning, resource allocation, and problem-solving.
- Innovation and Improvement: Develop and implement innovative installation methodologies, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Interface Management: Liaise with contractors, sub-contractors, and various project stakeholders to ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Reviews: Review and manage discipline design drawings, documents, and technical specifications.
- Installation Support: Provide on-site support during installation activities, ensuring all operations are executed safely and efficiently.
- Risk and Opportunity Assessments: Conduct risk assessments and identify opportunities for optimization and innovation in installation methodologies.
- Mentorship: Support the growth and development of junior engineers and graduates, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in subsea construction work, with a strong background in SURF installation.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, results-oriented with the ability to act decisively.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering.
