About the Role:
We are seeking a commercially-driven Business Development Manager to lead and expand market opportunities within the growing field of electrolysis technology. This position is instrumental in accelerating the adoption of low-carbon hydrogen solutions across industrial and energy sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in scaling commercial operations, shaping partnerships, and delivering strategic growth in line with ambitious decarbonization targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities within the hydrogen and electrolyser ecosystem across target markets (e.g., industrial gas users, green hydrogen developers, energy companies).
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships and customer relationships across Europe and beyond.
- Lead contract negotiations, commercial proposals, and pricing strategies in collaboration with technical and legal teams.
- Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and customer segmentation to inform product development and positioning.
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder engagements to build brand presence and generate leads.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and R&D teams to align commercial goals with technical capabilities and roadmaps.
- Support the development of business cases for capital projects, joint ventures, or funding applications where applicable.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or a related field; MBA or equivalent commercial qualification is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, commercial sales, or partnerships within the industrial, cleantech, or hydrogen sectors.
- Strong knowledge of electrolyser technologies (preferably alkaline) and their application in green hydrogen production.
- Proven track record of delivering commercial growth, negotiating complex deals, and managing key accounts.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives from concept to execution.
