BOSS Energy Consulting LTD – Senior Flow Assurance Engineer
The Flow Assurance Engineer will be a key individual in the engineer department, contributing to the global engineering community. This role needs expertise in Flow Assurance, with additional competencies in CFD. The engineer will independently handle engineering tasks, including analysis and report writing, with minimal guidance from the Manager/Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the completion of safe and operable designs in compliance with company and project requirements, laws, regulations, and codes.
- Review job scope, provide estimates, and develop schedules.
- Maintain regular communication with the Client/Study Manager to ensure timely achievement of objectives.
- Review and analyze relevant discipline data.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines.
- Perform simulations for selected cases as defined by the project.
- Conduct calculations in line with company and project quality standards.
- Develop engineering strategies, philosophies, and procedures.
- Perform quality checks on models, calculations, and reports.
- Participate in project presentations to communicate results.
- Review and approve data requested by the Client.
- Participate in safety and design review meetings as necessary.
- Support and mentor junior engineers.
- Engage in global knowledge-sharing initiatives within the engineering discipline.
- Lead small discipline engineering teams or small projects.
- Promote a high-value safety culture and ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) aspects on projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience or at least 8 years in the oil and gas industry, preferably in consultancy, design houses, engineering contractors, or operator environments.
- 5-10 years of dedicated Flow Assurance experience, particularly with OLGA.
- Proficiency in software such as OLGA, Pipesim, PVTSim, Multiflash, Ledaflow, Pipenet, Flowmaster, etc.
- Experience in CFD studies and associated software (Fluent, Star CCM+, Open Foam, etc.) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Process Engineering and associated software (Hysys, Unisim, K-spice, etc.) is beneficial.
- Master’s degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience in Conceptual and Front-End engineering studies.
- Fluency in English is essential; French language skills are preferred but not required.
- Strong report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead small teams and manage projects.
- Ability to handle variations in workload while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
- Technical knowledge in related disciplines to address and resolve problems.
- Ability to explain engineering concepts clearly and concisely.
